This document describes the charged particle simulations performed on a numerical model of the Cassini INMS ion
optical arrangement. The numerical charged particle model simulation employed equivalent voltage settings used for
the E21 closest approach encounter. Neutral and ion distributions were generated and ray traced through the instrument
optics. The INMS ion transmission characteristics and the instrument energy angle response were analyzed and used as
input to the physics model.
